frozen water bottles, bear boxes and dodging park fees

Hubert and I left out of grass valley south on the 49 getting used to our bikes and gear on steep river canyons. Beautiful camp spots and 100 degree daytime heat stayed with us all the way to mariposa where we turned toward yosemite and the high sierra. We spent a few days with my old friend Red Tim and then rode into the park. We spent a night on the valley floor and then started the climb up to the 9970 something ft. Tioga pass. We spent a day and a half climbing to the high snowy peaks and then plummeted down toward the desert hitting 54 mph on the way.
Since then we have been plowing south down the 395 having our brains boiled in the days and sleeping out in the brush at night. Damn good times all in all. Were now in Barstow about to ride on to Joshua Tree
