Compliments of Cass

This Photo spree is thanx to Cass Gilbert. A man with a fantastic eye for photos and an enormous love for riding bikes in remote places.

These were all taken on our first week cycling south from Huaraz Peru-

  1. As if it couldn't look any better... Excellent to have some really nice photos of you and the journey! Nice shirt!

  2. Awesome! They look double as good in bigger size! How does the Contrail perform in that climate? Feels like a compromise or fully comfortable? I own the same but have yet to use it in tougher climate, only fine central european summer weather so far ...

Rock on and keep Cass off creeks, rivers and the like!

  3. The Contrail has been amazing. Ive pitched it in about every condition the planet has and it's held up well. A comfortable compromise. I never want to go back to carrying a full tent again.
Crossing creeks is a daily occurance, swimming down stream is a rarity. We have had a lot of cold rain latley. I miss those warm european summers.

  4. Thanks for your opinion. Definitely like it so far as well. Only found the ground sheet to be kind of slippery; I always find myself waking up at the lowest area in the morning. ^^

Also seeing you on fat tires makes me think twice. Actually wanted to sell my fattie to build a 29er as well .. mostly for the weight and handling issues. Makes my think twice now.

  5. very awesome indeed. do you happen to have the route mapped somehow that you would be willing to pass along? I'm heading into the same area (touring bike, but am thinking of taking nobby treads with me) and would be grateful for any information.
