Ricardo "Monte Alban" and the Fantasy Island

Sorry... We found no small person named Tattoo but, we did find these rather old and well placed rocks!

Every now and again when no one is looking we sneak off and play tourists. Its a nice break from our regular daily habit of Gringo Cyclist.
Monte Alban is an ancient Zapotec capital supposedly first inhabited around 500 B.C. with a 360 degree view of the surrounding peaks. Its long and sorted history is well more than I feel like typing so check here.
It was great ride into the mountains above Oaxaca well worth a snoop around (even if the catacombs are blocked off, taking all the real fun out of it) .
